Owen Hart Tribute
Owen Hart Poem
Josh Pontrelli May 23, 2000
It was one year ago today,
that a legend passed away,
Remembering is all we can do,
besides respect him and pray.
At 10:00 PM that night,
He was preparing for his fight.
He did his interview for the show,
everything was go.
He went to the rafters for the start,
But didn't finish what he embarked.
He fell many feet to the ring,
He used to be a Hart King.
Owen Hart, although you are gone,
We all think of you off and on.
We respect your duties and the matches you played,
We know your great image will never fade.
As a man of the "wrestling way",
and on this sad day in May,
I have a few things to say,
Owen, I hope you are listenting today.
I remember in the early days when you would feud,
with your brother, your cousins; hell it was shrewd.
We knew you loved them,
You had pride and truth.
You were a grand wrestler and will be missed for sure,
You were a high flying technical guy; not hardcore.
But you sure made an impact in the wrestling world today,
Owen, I hope you rest in peace this May.
The 23rd was the day of your death,
I am sorry to see you go to rest,
It was done and nothing to do,
Owen James Hart, I will miss you.
I remember hearing and reading how he was a great guy,
All of the wrestlers mourned and cried.
Don't worry, we all had tears in our eye.
It was a sad day; the day Owen Hart died.
I have nothing left to speak,
Except remember Owen every day, month, year and week.
RIP for life, Owen James Hart,
A son, father, friend and husband; till death to you part.
RIP Owen James Hart
You won't be forgotten
