The forest had been growing at a rapid rate.
Many creatures had come to this wondrous forest since it
has taken hold of the land. Many sought refuge or received knowledge.
The seedlings grew due to good weather and rain.

One day a starling flew into the forest. In his mouth, he had a branch from that original oak tree.
The trees rustled their branches, and asked, "To what
do we owe this honor?" The forest fell silent, wondering what the
starling had to say that was so important. The birds stopped singing
their beautiful songs and the creatures below stopped in their tracks.
The starling said that it was through magic, magic, that an exciting event
was to happen. The old oak tree was going to visit the forest, for a day.

The forest fell silent. A gray wolf appeared from around the fire bush with a smile on his face. "We did it, we actually did it! The King is truly coming to the our domain. The wolf, normally quite impressed with himself, fell into silly bouts of tail-chasing and somersaults. The forest was clattering with excitement.

The creatures and the plants helping each other to prepare. There was
so much to do in such a short time! Everyone started working together
for a common purpose to honor the Oak Tree they had grown to respect.
The Creatures were restless, singing their songs through the forest,
delighted that the King was coming. Plans were being made;
everyone pulled together and did their share.

The original saplings prepared to meet and greet the Oak, while
the other dwellers travelled from far away corners and helped to
spread the word that the "father of the forest" was coming.

July 7, 2000 came. The two original trees waited, nervous, as the Tree arrived
on a big silver bird. Creatures from miles, and miles around came that day.
Each visiting dweller showed their respect and honor.
After much excitement and entertainment, it was time for the Oak to return
His journey was long , even for one so strong

When taking their leave, the two trees fluttered their branches
how could they thank him for such an experience.
The Big Oak tree extended out his branch and took
a leaf holding it gently in its branch and said ",
Thank you ladies, I enjoyed myself,"
One held back, then finally held her leaf out for
the King Oak Tree and said," Hope to get to see you again soon",
the King looked at her and started to turn then looked back and
said, "I have no doubt." He pulled his branches together and disappeared
into the dark night.

Was it a dream? Yet, the next day, when the two trees looked down
at the ground, there were some scattered leaves, those that could
only have come from the one who had started it all.
Never did the dwellers or the creatures of the forest ever think that
they would be hosts to the King Oak. Yet magic is everywhere, and all
around. And those in the forest wait patiently for his return.
And though this tale has been passed down from one
branch to the next, never stop hoping, because you too can realize your
dream. Sometimes you have to visit the Forest, but sometimes the
Forest comes to you... whether you are asleep or awake. That is the power
of magic. That is the power of myth. That is the power within those special souls known as Phenoms.
