Ah, there you are my dear dwellers.
This year as been a growing and fruitful year.
For some it as been a year of growing pains.
And for others it has been a time of choosing a path.

We have grown in leaps and bounds.
Sometimes without any rain or sunlight to light our way.
We have come a long way from being saplings just seeding ourselves in this land.
Our forest as branched out along with the animals that dwell within it.
We have all grown in leaps & bounds that surpass even ourselves.

We have seen great trees, bushes & animals fall in Summerland.
We have tendered their place in our hearts & have fond memories for without them the forest would not be.
We have grown close to those that tend to the forest & they do this out of love and respect.
For our dwellers are always amazing us with the tender care they take upon the forest.

Growing for the forest means expanding and taking shape grabbing a hold of the land beneath us.
For the forest is never ending.
For some of the animals it is time to move to a different part of the forest setting up
home in a different part of the forest. For the wheel as turned once again and darkness
falls all to soon.
Others will lie dormant till the daylight rules once more.

Has we all have grown we all have had our growing pains.
And here in the forest we have been strong for one another during those times.
Tendering and listening to those who needed it.
For it is here we are a family.
Even the saplings have grown and have spread and branched out.

Just as the "Oak King" would have wanted it.
For he to has grown and along with growing there is always some growing pain.
The fairies of Spring, Summer and Autumn have already found their place among
the forest in which to make their home and stay for the cold months ahead.

It is here that the Winter Fairies will grace us once more.
For they will tend to the forest as it sleeps and look over the dwellers as they walk their paths.

This is all part of growing for now it is time to really get to know ourselves.
The Unicorns I see are back dancing along the forest paths.
The dragon lay himself to rest always keeping an open ear for any danger that may come to the forest.
The animals have all gathered the fruits from the trees, the vegtables from the fields and are ready for the cold months ahead.
We celebrate this time together before our dormice state takes over.

But, we know the wolves, the deer & other animals in our mist will endure this time and when we awake they will have grown.
But it is here that the winter plants will awaken and over see the forest while we are fast asleep.

This year in the forest as not been a quite one but it as been a growing one.
And for some it as been an enlightment, for others it as been very painful & still for some they sitll can't see the forest through the trees.
So, with our fourth year of existence in this land I want to send a special thanks to all of you who have graced our presences.
For without you the forest would have just died and parished but instead you came and opened your arms up to a new and exciting place to dwell.
Let yourself be enchanted by the forest even in darkness.
For you never know what you may find.


The Forest Chant

To our Lady of Avalon,
We thank you for making our land fruitful,
For your tender ways and knowledge you have shared with us.

To our Lord of the Hunt,
We thank you for all you have given us,
For the abundance of those who dwell within the forest & giving us strength to see us through

We give honor to you both,
And know you will always be with us,
For it is your tenderness, wisdom, abundance & strength we have grown.

So, I leave you in honor a glass of wine to take
to nourish your thirst,
Cake to quench your hunger,
And above all else my love and respect,
As you have given us.

So mote it be
